1.HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A CUSTOM CAKE TOPPER?
We estimate each order to take on average 2-4 weeks under the best circumstances. We cannot begin full production on your cake topper until we have received your face photos so please keep this in mind. We do not need your photos in order to take the order and begin collecting your project requirements but we cannot sculpt the heads until we have received your face photos.
The 2-4 week time frame is only an estimate because every order moves at its own pace. We offer a fully photo proofed process with unlimited revisions at every stage. The more time we have, the more time you will have to make every detail of your cake topper just perfect.
We can create cake toppers much faster than this but please keep in mind, that we may need to skip some of the proofing, limit revisions or in some cases, upgrade to a faster shipping method in order to deliver in time for your special event.
2.MY WEDDING IS IN TWO WEEKS. CAN I STILL HAVE A CUSTOM WEDDING CAKE TOPPER??
Yes. We offer an Express Shipping service for an additional charge. In many cases, when the order is an extreme rush, we will forego the pre-mentioned photo proof process and ship your cake topper when all the project requirements have been met. We need at a minimum 2 full weeks (14 business days from the time your order is placed to the date it needs to be delivered) to create a custom wedding cake topper with your faces and hairstyles.
A second option if you have less than 2 weeks is a Quick Ship Topper. Quick ship toppers are made using any of our standard styles with generic style heads. The heads are predesigned. All coloring including skin, eyes, hair, clothing, jerseys, etc is custom painted. Or, you can choose the animal wedding cake toppers or cartoon wedding cake toppers.
3.WHAT METHODS DO YOU USE TO SHIP?
Standard shipped items will be delivered using DHL. Expressed orders are mostly shipped using UPS but sometimes we will use DHL or FedEx. Which one we choose is based on the delivery address.
4.WHAT COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP TO?
We ship to the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Souh Aferica and over 20 countries. If you live outside the above countries, we will use your DHL or EMS to deliver your item. The cost for shipping international is the same for standard and express shipping whether we are shipping to an above address or an International address and the shipping and delivery time is the same.
5.WHAT IF THE CAKE TOPPER DOESN'T ARRIVE BY MY EVENT?
Please be sure to indicate your actual event date on your order form. If you are leaving your location for the event, please let us know this information as well. We need to know the last date you can accept delivery before your event. We will let you know when your order needs to be approved and shipped in order to still reach you with your selected shipping method. You will also have the ability to upgrade to faster shipping if necessary.
All of our cake toppers are made to go on cakes and we understand the importance of your cake topper making it to you in time to get in the right hands – whether that be the wedding coordinator, the baker, the caterer, etc. We dislike a cliff-hanger just as much as you do and we do everything we can to ensure that all orders are received in plenty of time to avoid anxiety and panic. However, some situations are out of our control:
- Shipping delays due to weather. Leave extra time for shipping in the winter months. Don’t expect us to know you are expecting a blizzard – we are in San Diego!
- Delays due to email issues.
- Delays due to email communication failure.
- Delays due to customs clearance issues.
- Shipping delays due to act-of-god weather conditions and other unavoidable issues.
The best way to avoid any of these situations is the approve your cake topper well in advance of your event so that we can ship it with plenty of time in case something comes up. Expressed orders are shipped in most cases with UPS or FedEx and take 2-3 days on average for arrival. Again, make sure you leave a padding between your approval and your event date just in case the unexpected happens.
Stay on top of your own order. We will do our very best to remind you when your event is approaching and we need approval. We can only contact you using the phone numbers and email addresses you have provided. We have hundreds of orders at any given time so please, take responsibility for your order. Do not wait until the day before the wedding to let us know you have not received our emails.
6.WHERE DOES MY ORDER SHIP FROM?
Our customer service is located in San Leandro, California and Edinburgh, Scotland. Our team of talented, professional sculptors and painters are located in Hong kong. Your order will be shipped directly from the artists in most cases.
7.WHAT MATERIAL DO YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR CAKE TOPPERS?
Almost cake toppers are made with Polymer Clay, and others are made with Polyresin. Whatever material, they are all safety and out of the non toxic . It can became not only the highlight of the whole event but also a lasting memory. Because All the figurines can be kept through your whole life with its strong craftsmanship.
Polymer clay is a sculptable material based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It usually contains no clay minerals, and is only called "clay" because its texture and working properties resemble those of mineral clay. It is sold in craft, hobby, and art stores, and is used by artists, hobbyists, and children. Polymer Clay is also compatible with a large range of different finishes, including paint and metallic finishes, which is why many decorative pieces are made from this material. Walk into any Hallmark store and find the majority of the figurines are created in this same material.
Polyresin is a resin compound generally used for statues, figurines, and decorative furniture. It is a sturdy material that can be intricately molded, allowing a great level of detail with consistent texture. Additives can be incorporated into the compound to enhance the material's strength, reduce its weight, add heat stability, decorative effects, and so on.
The beauty of polymer clay and polyresin in many-fold. Firstly, the materials are very durable and long lasting. More, they will not crumble if left in the sun or fade. The details will not be fragile enough to break off if the cake topper is accidentally bumped. If you throw it on the floor, it will most like break so it should be treated with care.
8.WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS LIKE? HOW DOES YOUR PROCESS DIFFER FROM THE COMPETITION?

9.WHAT SIZE AND WEIGHT ARE YOUR CAKE TOPPERS?
Our standard available cake toppers range in size from 5.5” to 7”. Animal Wedding Cake Toppers and Cartoon Wedding Cake toppers range in size from 2.5’’ to 5’’. Of course, fully custom creations can be made in any size. We can go super tiny for cup cakes or SUPER GIGANTIC for busts and sculptures. The only limit is your imagination – well, and pocketbook.
Most cake toppers including the base and nameplate weigh just under or around 1lb. In the 6 plus years that we have been making custom wedding cake toppers, no one has called to complain that the cake topper was too large or heavy for their cake. We do however, recommend speaking with your baker or caterer about your options for support.
10.HOW DURABLE ARE YOUR CAKE TOPPERS? WILL THEY LAST FOREVER?
The Polymer clay material is very durable which is why we love using it. It will not crumble or fade over time. We do ask that you treat your cake toppers with care just as you would with any keepsake. A glass dome is a great option if you plan on displaying your cake topper for many years outside of a curio cabinet or break-front.
11.I DON’T CARE IF MY CAKE TOPPER LOOKS LIKE ME. CAN I SELECT A STANDARD HEAD?
We offer a Quick Ship style with several generic head options. Each order is still custom made and painted to your exact specifications.
12.I DON’T SEE ANY PRE-MADE STYLES I LIKE. CAN I MAKE ONE OR BOTH OF THE FIGURES FULLY CUSTOM?
We offer 4 distinct product lines: Fashionably Funny and Classic Cake Toppers, Sports And Hobbies Wedding Cake toppers, and Animal Wedding Cake toppers. The Fashionably Funny and Classic Cake Toppers line have been designed to be interchangeable with many bride and groom styles available to mix-and-match. All in all, there are over 1000 style combinations and that number is growing. We also have many new styles that are currently in production – so if you have something specific in mind, just choose Custom Orders or Contact Us. We may have that style in the works. We can also do small modifications on existing styles by altering the molds. Usually, the cost to do this is pretty small – around $19.9 to make small modifications to an existing figure. We are here to help so please, contact us with any questions.
But if you have something really wacky or specialized in mind, you will most likely need to create a new fully custom figure or figures. Depending on what you have in mind, we may be able to use an existing bride or groom figure and just create one of the figures fully custom. Or, we can always make a completely custom cake topper just for you. Of course. You can select from Same Sex Cake Toppers. There are around 40 style combinations and that number is growing. Besides, we can also do small modifications on existing styles by altering the molds. Usually, the cost to do this is pretty small – around $19.9 to make small modifications to an existing figure. We are here to help so please, contact us with any questions.
But if you have something really wacky or specialized in mind, you will most likely need to create a new fully custom figure or figures. Depending on what you have in mind, we may be able to use an existing bride or groom figure and just create one of the figures fully custom. At last, you can select any two different bride or groom styles or the two of the same, since the figures are interchangeable.
14.MY FIANCÉ DOESN’T WANT ME TO SEE HER DRESS STYLE. HOW CAN YOU PROOF OUR DESIGN WITHOUT RUINING THE SECRET?
Please make sure to indicate this on the form. It is probably a good idea to use the bride’s contact information only on the order as well.
15.WILL I SEE A DRAWING OF MY CAKE TOPPER BEFORE YOU SHIP IT?
Whether we will show you the completed cake topper in full color and ask for your approval or revisions before shipping or not all depend on your request.
16.HOW MANY CHANGES CAN I MAKE IF I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH MY CAKE TOPPER?
We offer unlimited revisions as long as time allows. We do not offer refunds on orders that have already begun production. Please keep in mind that our artist’s intention is to create a beautiful cake topper you will love that closely resembles the bride and groom. This is most easy to achieve with detailed, high resolution photos. Please be very detailed with the initial photos you submit and take your time emailing changes. If your event date is quickly approaching and you wish to make additional revisions, you will be given the option to either upgrade shipping to express at your cost or to receive your cake topper after the event. Ordering your cake topper with plenty of time before your event is a good idea.
17.DO I NEED TO ORDER A BASE? WILL THESE STAND UP BY THEMSELVES?
All of our figurines are produced with bases. If there is no base, we strongly recommend adding one of our bases to your order. We will ship your order with a base that fits the foot of the figures you have selected. While many of the figures we offer are quite stable on their own, some of the classic figures in particular are tall and skinny with very little foot surface.
If you do not select one of our bases, we recommend ordering your toppers well in advance so that you can construct a method for ensuring their security on your cake.
18.DO THE HEADS BOBBLE? CAN I MAKE THE HEADS BOBBLE?
We will offer you the option to make the heads bobble. Keep in mind, if you place your topper on your cake, guests may try to bobble the heads by poking at them. This may cause damage to your cake. Also, if we make the heads bobble, the hairstyle needs to be placed off the bride's neck in order for the head to move. This may change the hairstyle you selected a bit. Some hairstyles will limit the way the head can bobble. Up-do styles are best for bobble heads.
19.WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE ASSEMBLED AND READY TO BE PLACED ON MY WEDDING CAKE?
Almost figurines need not to be assembled. Our number one priority is shipping your cake topper figurines safely. In some case, it is much safer to ship each piece separately. Your groom figure will often come with a tiny screw in his foot and a corresponding drilled hole in the base to affix his figure. The bride figures are typically very stable on their own so no special hardware is required. If you like, a dab of superglue or silicone will keep your pieces together.
20.HOW MUCH DO THESE COST?
Our topper prices range from $89 for a single, standard figure to $279 and up for two fully custom figures. The price is dependent on the level of customization necessary. If you select from any of our styles, the cost is significantly less than if you choose to have our team of artists and sculptors create a new style for you. There is also cost involved for optional accessories and add-ons such as bases, nameplates, children and pets. Pricing can be determined by adding all of the options you'd like to your shopping cart.
For some Animal Wedding Cake Toppers and Cartoon Wedding Cake Toppers, our prices range from $69 for a couple. The average price range from around $120 for a couple.
21.CAN I ADD MY DOGS AND CATS FOR MY CAKE TOPPER? HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST?
Sure! Lots of couples opt to add their furry friends to their toppers. We offer 5 standard pet styles for the most popular pets we see - lab, Chihuahua, boxer, Maltese and a cat. These pets cost just $25 extra and are custom painted based on your photos. We can also custom sculpt your pet from a photo in any pose. This costs $50 a pet.
Use the pet option on each topper form to add 1 pet. If there is no "ading pets" option on the right, just add them which display at the bottom of the current production page into your shopping cart.
22.CAN I ADD MY KIDS TO MY CAKE TOPPER? HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST?
Yes. We offer 2 standard child bodies - a flower girl body and a ring bearer body. These figures are best for 3-6 year old kids and sell for $50 additional. This price includes a custom sculpted head based on your photos. We can also create a fully custom child in your choice of clothing and pose for an additional $75.
Use the kids option on each topper form to add 1 kid. If there is no "ading kids" option on the right, just add them which display at the bottom of the current production page into your shopping cart.
23.I LIKE THE CLOTHING SOME OF YOUR PREMADE, STANDARD FIGURES ARE WEARING BUT I WANT TO DO A DIFFERENT POSE. DOES THAT COST EXTRA?
Yes. Having selected one of our premade styles, you want to do a different pose. At this time, You need to order a fully custom figure. You can pair a fully custom figure with a standard figure or create a fully custom pair. We can make fully custom cake toppers to your exact specifications including faces, hair, clothing, pose, accessories and in any size you need.
24.I LIKE A PRE-MADE STYLE YOU OFFER BUT I WANT TO MAKE A MINOR CHANGE. HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST?
We consider something like adding straps to a strapless gown or adding a logo to a t-shirt as part of our service. We do not charge for any details that can be modified by paint. If you need to have some aspects of the design changed or modified in any way with the exception of what can be done with paint, with the exception of very minor changes with your own outfits/bouquet and so on or slightly modification of any two places, we cannot modify the bodies or pose in any way. In this way, you should pay additional $19.90.
25.HOW DO I REQUEST A CUSTOM QUOTE?

26.DO YOU MAKE CAKE TOPPERS FOR ANNIVERSARIES AND BIRTHDAYS?
We sure do! Any of our wedding cake topper styles can be modified to work well for a wedding anniversary cake topper. Some customers like to make a figurine based on what the couple looks like today and others like to use their old wedding photos to make a vintage version for the anniversary cake. We can also create something totally different that is significant to the family - like their summer home, their pets, or a symbol that represents their love and marriage.
For a special birthday cake topper, we offer lots of fun styles that can be used to replicate the birthday boy and girl. We can incorporate their favorite hobby or something they like to wear. We can also create a birthday cake topper that has the birthday year on a special cake.
27.DO YOU MAKE SINGLE FIGURE CAKE TOPPERS AND TROPHIES?

30.HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH STYLE TO SELECT FROM? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
We offer three main character styles and some animal styles.
Three main character styles-Classic, Funny and Mini. Classic styles have realistic heads with proportional bodies. They look like realistic versions of you. They stand between 5.5’’ and 7" tall. Funny cake toppers have slightly larger, exaggerated heads. They stand between 7" and 7.75" tall. Mini toppers are smaller than the other two choices standing at 5.75" tall. The heads are much larger than the bodies and look more cartoonish in nature. The choice is up to you and is merely a matter of personal taste.
Animal wedding cake toppers stand between 2.5’’ to 5’’ tall. Cute and funny animals contain owl, penguin, bird, love bird, cat, deer, dog, horse, dinosaur, elephant etc. The choice is up to you and is merely a matter of personal taste.
31.I LIKE THE CLOTHING SOME OF YOUR PREMADE, STANDARD FIGURES ARE WEARING BUT I WANT TO DO A DIFFERENT POSE. DOES THAT COST EXTRA?
Yes. Having selected one of our premade styles, you want to do a different pose. At this time, You need to order a fully custom figure. You can pair a fully custom figure with a standard figure or create a fully custom pair. We can make fully custom cake toppers to your exact specifications including faces, hair, clothing, pose, accessories and in any size you need.
32.HOW DO THE INTERCHANGEABLE FIGURES WORK?
We offer several interchangeable figures for the funny style, the mini style and the classic style. These figures are designed to be placed together to create a cake topper. This way, you can select the clothing style you like for both the bride and the groom. You can also use one of the predesigned figures paired with a fully custom figure to save some money. 33.WHAT TYPES OF PHOTOS DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

34.I DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO ANY PHOTOS OF THE COUPLE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
In most cases, photos can be found by going to Facebook. If that doesn't work, try a Google image search. Lastly, email a close relative of the bride and groom and ask for photos. If all else fails, order a gift certificate.
35.I AM NOT SURE HOW I WILL BE WEARING MY HAIR FOR THE WEDDING. WHAT DO I DO?
We suggest going online and doing a search for wedding hairstyles. Pick something you like and email it to us. Most likely, in that scale, the differences between the cake topper and your real life hairstyle will be hard to notice.
36.WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE MY CAKE TOPPER? IS IT RETURNABLE?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns under any circumstance because our cake toppers are customized. We do provide a full proofing process and allow unlimited changes as time allows. We will do everything we can to work with you to ensure you love your topper before it ships however, in some cases this just is not possible. For that reason, ordering a custom commissioned cake topper is a bit of a risk.
